Miller, Phyllis M. (Bonin) (20 OCT 1925 - 7 OCT 2011)

Phyllis M. Miller, 85, Edgar, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital surrounded by family.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar and again on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

She was born October 20, 1925 in the town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Matysik) Bonin. On September 1, 1952 she married Lawrence "Shorty" Miller at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He survives.

In 1944 Phyllis graduated from Thornton Fractional North in Calumet City, Illinois and before getting married worked for Lever Brothers in Hammond, Indiana. She enjoyed baking, playing bingo, polka music, occasional trips to the casino and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Phyllis also enjoyed attending church picnics and was a very active member of her church serving on the PCCW.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Lawrence "Shorty"; children, Larry Miller, Wausau and his daughter, Sarah (Travis) Strasser and their daughter, Emma; Edward (Irene) Miller, Edgar and children, Rachel (Justin) Lancaster and their son, Rex, Gabriel Miller, Hannah (Jeremy) Olson and their daughter, Jaci; Ann (Tim) Jolliffe, Wausau and children, Elizabeth, Emily and Vincent Jolliffe; Janice (Greg) Williams, Wausau and children, Kellen, Maria and Alex Williams; Mary Kay (Jeff) Blomquist, Wausau and children, Mikalah, Natalie and Andrea Blomquist; Pamela (Joel) Kiepke, Wausau and children, Kendra, Jared and Christian Kiepke; Tim (Karen) Miller, Mosinee and children, Logan, Allison and Kyle Miller; brother, Joe Bonin, Athens; sisters, Betty Seubert, Marathon and Rita Bonin, Edgar; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Bonin and Dorothy Bonin, both of Illinois; brother and sister-in-law, Luke and Delores Lang, Marathon; other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Ted, grandchildren, Scott Miller, Alexandra Williams and Elijah Kiepke, sisters, Ann, Mayme, Sylvia, Marcella and Delores and brothers, Leo, Leonard and Eugene.
