Mroczenski, Michael A. (20 SEP 1921 - 9 JUL 2012)

Michael A. Mroczenski, 90, Edgar, died Monday, July 9, 2012 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at his home.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

He was born September 20, 1921 in the town of Rib Falls, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Hart) Mroczenski. In 1944 he married Verna Ellenbecker in Edgar. She survives.

Mike farmed in the town of Cassel for 39 years and also ran a radio, tv and electronics service business for 47 years. He was known as the electric fencer repair man. Mike enjoyed fishing and playing on the computer. He loved music, especially polkas and played the concertina. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and was the youth director for the Poniatowski court of Catholic Order of Foresters, member of the Holy Name Society and was an usher at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.

Survivors include his wife, Verna, Edgar; sons, Ronald (Mary) Mroczenski, Gary (Angela) Mroczenski, Thomas (Norma) Mroczenski and Charles Mroczenski, all of Edgar; daughters, Carol (Jack) Schalk, Stratford and Cheryl (Robert) Kitzki, Adams; 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Alphonse (Virgie) Mroczenski, Wausau; sisters, Marion Wisnewski and Margaret (Edward) Stubbe, both of Wausau.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Joseph Jr. and two sisters, Sophie Penn and Regina Wanta.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.
