married her beloved Oscar Paul at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Her
loving husband preceded her death after 55 years of marriage in 2005.
Rita and Oscar worked together to raise a beautiful family and operated their
dairy farm until their retirement. She treasured her children and grandchildren
and would always have time to talk or a lap to sit on. Rita always had candy and
treats available for anyone, including her homemade breads, cinnamon rolls and
pies. Rita lovingly made handmade quilts for all her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. She welcomed all their smiles and their youthful activities.
Rita was also devoted to her community and church and gave selflessly of her
time and talent. She was an active member of St. John's Parish Council of
Catholic Women and Edgar Women's Club. Rita also treasured spending her mornings
walking to daily mass at St. John's Parish. She enjoyed reading books and
discussing them with the Edgar Book Club. Above all, Rita cherished her family
and friends and the time she was able to spend with them.
