Schultz, Ruth L. (Dallman) (15 APR 1914 - 30 JUL 2010)
Ruth L. Schultz, 87, Edgar, died Friday July 30, 2010 at the Allison House,
Marathon, under care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday August 2, 2010 at St. Matthew
Lutheran Church, Marathon. Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in the
Edgar Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home,
Edgar and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the
church in Marathon. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Edgar funeral home.
She was born March 26, 1923 in the town of Frankfort, daughter of the late
Gustave and Anna (Protze) Dallman. Ruth was baptized, confirmed and married at
the former St. John American Lutheran Church, Hwy. N, Edgar. She was united in
marriage to Lawrence R. Schultz on December 27, 1941. He preceded her in death
September 13, 2005.
Ruth was a true partner with her husband on their dairy farm. In February 1971,
they opened their house to a special nephew, Orville Yessa. In 1994, they
retired from the farm to their beautiful home in Edgar. Ruth enjoyed being a
homemaker, especially cooking and baking.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd (Mary) Schultz, Edgar, daughters, Beverly (David)
Miller, Wausau, Patsy (John) Fischer, Fenwood, eight grandchildren, Sarah
(Steve) Marcis, Robert (Patty Jo) Schultz, Randall (Gen) Schultz, Russell
(Laurie) Schultz, Angela (James) Lenselink, Bradley (Peggy) Miller, Amanda
(Bill) Sonnentag, Greg Fischer, 15 great grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Nancy
Leffel, Colby.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a special nephew,
Orville Yessa, as well as nine brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew WELS, Marathon or
to St. Stephen ELCA, Edgar.
Pallbearers for the service will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Robb,
Rand, Russ & Xavier Schultz, Greg Fischer, Steve & Andrew Marcis, Brad Miller
and Bill Sonnentag.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Aspirus Comfort Care
and Hospice Services and also to the staff of the Allison House for the special
care given to Ruth during her time with them.
