Zeinert, Anna J. (Pietrowski) (5 NOV 1920 - 1 JAN 2012)
Anna J. Zeinert, 91, Edgar, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 under the care of
Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Kennedy Park Medical and
Rehabilitation Center, Weston.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Noon Thursday, January 5, 2011 at St.
John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Entombment will
be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday from
10:30 a.m. until time of services all at the church. There will be a rosary
service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church.
She was born November 5, 1920 in the town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late
John and Martha (Retka) Pietrowski. On June 29, 1979, she married Celand Zeinert
at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1989.
Anna attended high school in Pittsburgh, PA and continued her education at St.
John's University in Cleveland where she received her Bachelor of Science degree
in Education. She taught school in Cleveland for many years and then taught at
St. John Catholic School in Edgar for nine years until her retirement in 1984.
In all, she taught for over 40 years. Anna always loved working with children
and having them succeed in life. Teaching was her life.
Anna proudly put all of the graduation pictures and first communion pictures up
at the church hall. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, music and
playing horseshoes.
Survivors include, two sisters, Martha Kremsreiter and Theresa Felzkowski, both
of Athens; many nieces and nephews; Celand's family; and her extended families,
Gary and Kathy Schueller and family and Patty Stelter and her son, Victor.
Besides her parents and husband, Celand, she was preceded in death by five
sisters, Mary Wentzka, Alvina Pempek, Leona Albrecht, Frances Koppa and Helen
Urmanski; and seven brothers, Alex, Leo, Edward, Joseph, John, Francis and
Michael Pietrowski.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Catholic School,
Edgar.
