Jorenby, Jennie (20 APR 1897 – 23 FEB 1968)

Mrs. Jennie Jorenby, 70, of Hillsdale collapsed and died Friday, February 23, 1968 on E. La Salle Ave., in front of the Junior High School.

She was born April 20, 1897 at Longwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and was married April 15, 1922 to Harold Jorenby. They operated a store at Atwood (Clark Co.) and left, moving to Hillsdale in 1931, operating a general store there until 1945, when it was sold to Ing Hanson.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Harold, of Cascade, Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Vivian) Hanson of Clinton, Wis.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren ,and a sister, Mrs. Rudolph Erickson of Larsen, Wis.

Services were held Monday, February 26 at the First Lutheran Church at Hillsdale, with Rev. C.P. Thronson and Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiating. Burial was made in Wayside Cemetery, with Rausch-Rockman in charge.
