Jacobson, Delores (24 APR 1930 – 4 DEC 2016)
Delores Jacobson, 86, Homosassa, Fla., formerly of Loyal, passed away on Sunday,
Dec. 4, 2016, after a brief illness from pancreatic cancer, surrounded by loved
ones. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at the American
Legion in Loyal, on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at a
later date in Ihlen, Minn.
Delores Schnepf was born in Pipestone, Minn., on April 24, 1930, to Ferdinand
and Fern Schnepf. She married Roger Jacobson on Sep. 13, 1950. They moved to
Loyal in 1957. She had various waitressing jobs, and until her retirement,
worked in the dietary department at St. Joseph’s Hospital. They then moved to
Florida in 1980. She enjoyed reading, bingo, going to casinos, and spending time
with her family. She will be lovingly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by seven children: Kathi (Dennis) Ohm of Marshfield, Jean (Lawrie)
Beaver of Marshfield, David (Dawn) Jacobson of Greenwood, Jim (Sue) Jacobson of
Loyal, Diane (Tim) Schwecke of Egg Harbor, Allen (Joanne) Jacobson of Homosassa,
Fla., and Donna (Dave) Meyers of Marshfield; 16 grandchildren; and 21
great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, in 2007; her parents; and one grandchild, in
infancy.
