Bruesewitz, Delores (13 SEP 1921 – 7 DEC 2016)

Delores Bruesewitz, 95, Woodruff, formerly of Unity, died on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, in hospice care at Avanti Health and Rehabilitation Center, Minocqua. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spencer.

Delores Westberg was born on Sept. 13, 1921, in Unity, to Andrew and Anna (nee Williamson) Westberg. She graduated from Colby High School in 1938. She married Lester Bruesewitz on July 2, 1945. They farmed in the town of Unity, and she also kept the books and assisted with operating Bruesewitz Builders. Delores and Lester retired to a cottage on the Eau Pleine Flowage and she moved to Marshfield after his death. Her interests included playing cards, baking, and spending time with her family. Most recently, she lived in Woodruff and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Arbor Vitae.

Survivors include two sons: Ron (Eileen) Bruesewitz of Minocqua, and Charles (Sandy) Bruesewitz of Unity; one daughter: Susan (Dennis) Olson of Sussex; seven grandchildren: Stacy (Sivert) Lung, Eric Bruesewitz, Alyssa Olson, Michael Olson, Julie (Greg) Miller, Joe (Jessica) Maass, and Nicole (Tom) Larson; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Grace Bruesewitz.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, Erland (Dorthe) Westberg, Orville (Clara) Westberg, and Harold Westberg; and a brother-in-law, Donald Bruesewitz.
