Kunze, Albert Sr. (5 APR 1891 – 4 JUN 1969)
Funeral services were held Monday, June 9, at St. Mary's Church in Colby, at
10:30 a.m. for Albert August Kunze Sr., 78, who died late Wednesday evening,
June 4, 1969, at St. Mary's Hospital at Wausau. The Rev. John Olson officiated
and burial as made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Kunze was born in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wisconsin, April 5, 1891.
He married Loretta Ohlinger October 26, 1926 at St. Mary's in Colby. He spent
his entire life on the farm where he was born, with the exception of a short
time in which he worked in the north woods. He was a member of the Catholic
Order of Foresters of St. Mary's at Colby.
Survivors, besides his wife, include three children, Albert Kunze Jr. of Athens,
Donald of Colby and Mary (Mrs. Elroy Weiler) of Abbotsford; a niece, Veronica
(Mrs. L.E. Shambary) of Topeka, Kansas; three brothers, Joseph Kunze of
Abbotsford, Carl Kunze of Cloquet, Minn., August Kunze of Bremerton, Washington,
and one sister, Mrs. Lena Berazen of Cloquet, Minn., and 15 grandchildren.
