Sundell, Elinor R. "Elle" (3 MAR 1936 – 24 Dec 2016)
Elinor R. "Elle" Sundell, age 80, of Spencer, passed away on Saturday, December
24, 2016 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
To honor Elle's wishes, private services were held with her family. Elle was
laid to rest in West Spencer Cemetery in the Town of Sherman, Clark County.
She was born March 3, 1936 in Mifflin, WI, the daughter of Roy and Milda (Knebel)
Heath. Elle was married to John Day in August of 1955. They later divorced. She
married Charles Sundell in May of 1969. Along with being a homemaker and caring
for her family and her elderly mother, Elle worked in various clerical aide
positions and retired as secretary for the Spencer Public School System.
Elle was a member of a local bowling team and enjoyed spending time at the cabin
on Soo Lake in Phillips. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church in
Spencer.
Survivors include her children: John (Joy) Day of Brentwood, TN, Thomas (Lori)
Day of Austin, MN, Jim (Jody) Day of Spencer, Mike (Karla) Day of Coal Valley,
Il, Jeff Day of Longwood, FL and Kathy (Kevin) Tremelling of Marshfield; her
grandchildren: Sarah, Michael, Kate, Matthew, Daniel, Jeremy, Jacob, Samantha,
Jessica, Kendra and Kyle; her great granddaughter Isabelle; A lifelong friend
Ruth Jenkins of Platteville; a special friend Margaret Cox of Spencer along with
other relatives and many friends.
Elle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, a grandson
Bradley, a daughter-in-law Sheri and one sister Delores.
In lieu of flowers, if desired the family is accepting memorials in Elle's name
to the Spencer Fire Department Support Association.
