Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kelsey of Abbotsford have recently announced the engagement of Sharon Kay Kelsey of Eau Claire to SP/5 Dennis L. Viets, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Viets of Colby. Miss Kelsey is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and is presently a senior at Wisconsin State University at Eau Claire, majoring in Psychology and minoring in English. She will graduate in August of 1969. Her fiancé is a 1960 graduate of Abbotsford High School and is presently stationed in Vietnam as a combat photographer for the 121st Signal Battalion, 1st Infantry, at Lai Khe, Vietnam. SP/5 Viets entered the Army in March 1965 and received his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. From there he was stationed at Ft. Monmouth, N.J., where he received training in photography. He was stationed in Korea in September 1965 and re-enlisted following his stay in Korea. He was also stationed in Germany in February 1968. The couple plans a spring 1970 wedding.
