Hawks, Allan F. (2 MAR 1909 – 09 JUN 1969)
Allan F. Hawks, 69, died unexpectedly at his home, route 1, Curtiss (Clark Co.,
Wis.), Monday afternoon at 2:25 p.m. The body lay in state at the Polnaszek
Funeral Home, Abbotsford, from Wednesday noon to the time of services held there
at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. H.W. Gereau of the Apostolic Faith Assembly of
Withee, of which Mr. Hawks was a member, conducted the services. Burial was made
in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.
Allan Folsom Hawks was born March 2, 1909, in the town of Hoard (Clark Co.,
Wis.). He attended Brady School. He farmed in the town of Hoard and lived there
all of his life. He served as a member of the school board, and also on the town
board.
His marriage to Norma Lokken took place in Curtiss September 18, 1929.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. William (Shirley) Schreffler
of Stanley and Linda, at home, and four sons, Dean of Marshfield, Robert and
David of Abbotsford, and Rodney of Curtiss. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren
and one sister, Mrs. Irene Tronson of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by one son, Howard Wayne, and his parents.
