Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Gauthier, Athens, announce the engagement of their
daughter, Mary Karen, to Robert Empey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Empey of
Abbotsford. Miss Gauthier is a graduate of Athens High School and the accredited
school of cosmetology at Eau Claire. She presently works at Verna's Hairdressing
at Eagle River. Her fiancé is a graduate of Abbotsford High School and is
presently working for the Janke Construction Co., Inc. A September 1, 1969
wedding is being planned.
