Lauretta M. Zettler of Colby became the bride of Otto Mielke, also of Colby, at
Zion Lutheran Church, June 14, 1969.
The 2 p.m. ceremony was performed by Rev. D.T. Pankow. Mrs. Laurence Priem was
organist and soloist. A hymn was sung by the congregation.
Mrs. Anna Besseler, Colby, was the matron of honor, and Alvin Habeck, Colby, was
the best man. Paul Habeck, Unity, and Dean Habeck, Colby, performed the ushering
duties.
The bride's street length dress was blue lace over satin, with matching hat and
white accessories. She wore a corsage of pink roses and white carnations. Her
attendant wore a lime green knit street length dress with matching hat. Her
accessories were also white and her corsage was of pink carnations.
Events following the ceremonies were a supper in the dining hall of Zion
Lutheran Church and a reception at the home of the bride.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Marathon County schools. She has been
employed at Bezak's Shoe Store in Abbotsford. He is an employee at Streckerts
Manufacturing Co. in Abbotsford.
After a wedding trip to various points in Wisconsin, the new couple will make
their home at 112 No. Division Street in Colby.
