Sleger, Leonora (20 JUL 1908 – 31 AUG 1968)
Funeral services for Leonora Sleger, 60, a former resident of Stanley (Chippewa
Co., Wis.), were held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanley, with the Rev.
Carl Peters officiating. Burial was made in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Sleger died at the Plymouth Hospital Saturday evening. She was born July
20, 1908 in Denmark, Wis., graduated from Denmark High School and attended Miss
Brown's Business School in Milwaukee. She then was employed at the Manitowoc
Saving Bank. In 1928 she married Bernard C. Sleger. They lived in Denmark until
1934, when they moved to Stanley.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Peter Lien of Tucson, Arizona; Mrs. Frank
Gatyas, Plymouth; her mother, Mrs. Julia Hansen, Minneapolis; two sisters, Mrs.
Alvin Fox, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Rodney Hansen, Minneapolis, and two
grandchildren.
