Kehoss, Marcella “Sally” Mary (12 July 1945 – 25 December 2016)
Marcella “Sally” Mary Kehoss, 71, died on Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016,
at her home.
Sally was born in Milwaukee July 12, 1945. She spent her childhood in West
Allis, graduating from Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee in 1963. She
was a lifelong lover of reading and books, and she completed her degree in
library science from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1989. She raised
her children, Brian Van Hine and Terri (nee Stelzer) Vollrath, while living on a
small hobby farm in the Town of Seif. On the farm, she raised chickens, pigs,
and horses, and cultivated a huge garden with her family. She served as the
elected treasurer for the Town of Seif for several terms in the late 1980s, and
early 1990s. In the mid-1990s, she met and married Dennis Kehoss, and together
they moved to Las Vegas, NV, where they lived until Dennis passed away in 2012.
After his death, she moved back to Neillsville, where she lived with her special
friend, Stan Pekol, until her death.
She is survived by her son, Brian Van Hine of Las Vegas, NV, her daughter Terri
(Mark) Vollrath of Colby, and her granddaughters Valerie Van Hine, and Olivia
Vollrath. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia “Pat” (James) Lord of
Neillsville, John “Jack” (Shirley) Dwyer of Jefferson, TX, Valentine “Val”
(Margaret Dwyer of Oconomowoc, and countless nieces and nephews across the
country.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, her sister, Mary (Eddy)
Komorowski and her parents, Ma3rcella (nee Juenemann) Dwyer and John Dwyer.
A Celebration of Life was held at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville Monday,
Jan. 2, 2017, at 2 p.m. Reverend Doug Bjerke officiated. Visitation was on the
same day from 1 p.m. until time of servicer.
