Techmeier, John H. (28 FEB 1878 – 25 AUG 1968)
John Henry Techmeier, 90, a former resident of the town of Worden (Clark Co.,
Wis.), died at Victory Memorial Hospital Monday evening, August 25, 1968).
He was born in Marinette County, Feb 28, 1878, and went to the town of Worden in
1900. On April 26, 1911 he married Elsie Jordan in Stanley. They farmed in
Worden until 1950, when Mr. Techmeier retired and they moved to the city of
Stanley. For the last four years he has made his home at the Havenet Nursing
Home at Owen.
Survivors are one son, Chris, Stanley; one sister, Mrs. Bert Lertzke, Pound,
Wis.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Techmeier was a member of the Epiphany Lutheran Church, and served on the
Clark County Board. He was a town chairman of the town of Worden for twelve
years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 29 from the Epiphany
Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Olson officiating. Burial was in St.
Mary's Cemetery.
