Zakrzewicz, Frank #2 (30 NOV 1892 – 17 AUG 1968)
Frank Zakrzewicz, 72, who had been in ill health the past two years, died at his
home on Saturday, August 17th, 1968.
Mr. Zakrzewicz, a retired farmer, was born November 30, 1892, at Chicago. He was
united in marriage to Anna Lewandowski, July 20, 1920 in Lublin. After their
marriage they moved to Chicago for five years, then returned to Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.)and resided on a farm six miles north of Thorp. He retired in 1965. He
served in the U.S. Army in World War I, was a member of the Polish National
Alliance and Holy Name Society.
Funeral services were held at St. Stanislaus Church, Lublin on Tuesday, August
20th. Rev. Norbert West officiated at the ten a.m. Mass, with burial being made
in the parish cemetery. Military gave side services were conducted, with members
of American Legion Cecil Tormey Post 118 of Thorp being pallbearers and honorary
pallbearers.
Surviving are two sons: Eugene Zakrzewicz of Thorp, Robert Zakrzewicz of
Carlinville, Ill.; two daughters, (Rita) Mrs. James Marcantonio and Loretta
Zakrzewicz of Forest Park, Ill.; two brothers, Louis Zakrzewicz of Chicago, Alex
Zakrzewicz of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Frances Neiman of Stanley,
(Lottie) Mrs. M. Mikolajczyk of Gilman, (Helen) Mrs. W. Tytor of Lublin, (Agnes)
Mrs. N. Thomas of North Lake, Ill.; twelve grandchildren. His wife, Anna,
preceded him in death November 20, 1966, and one son in infancy.
