Klapatauskas, Eunice (17 AUG 1968)

Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, was the setting of the wedding Saturday, August 17, 1968, of Miss Eunice Klapatauskas and James Doepke. Rev. William V. Nikolai officiated at the 10:00 a.m. double ring ceremony.

Miss Klapatauskas is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Doepke, Milwaukee. Music for the nuptial High Mass was provided by Miss Diane Klapatauskas, organist, who accompanied Holy Family Junior Choir.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length empire linen gown, trimmed with Venice lace and featured a matching train. Her bouffant veil was fastened to a double crown of daisies and seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of gardenias.

Miss Kathleen Lutz, Milwaukee, attended as maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were: Miss Linda Antazak, Milwaukee, Miss Nancy Arch, Milwaukee, Miss Carolyn Flacher, Chicago, and Miss Ardis Vallone, Milwaukee. They were attired in yellow, empire A-line floor length gowns, featuring panel and daisy trim. Their shoulder length veils were fastened in a daisy and petal headpiece. Karen Klapatauskas, Thorp, and Lisa Vallone, Milwaukee, were flower girls. Their dresses were identical to the bridesmaids. They carried baskets of mums and miniature carnations. The bridal aides carried cascade bouquets of cymbidium orchids surrounded by mums.

Attending the groom as best man was Robert Doepke, Milwaukee. Douglas Doepke and Nicholas Klapatauskas, Milwaukee, and Julius Klapatauskas Jr., Thorp, were groomsmen. Ushers were Arlen Klapatauskas and Randall Klapatauskas, Thorp.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served in the parish center. A reception and buffet supper were held at the home of the bride's parents. Music for the afternoon and evening was furnished by Mrs. Donald Kirn and Mrs. Louis Lamar. The large tiered wedding cake was baked by Mrs. Mike Klapatauskas.

Following a brief honeymoon, the couple returned to Milwaukee where the new Mrs. Doepke will continue to work for First Wisconsin Trust Co. Mr. Doepke has been called into military service and left August 28 for basic training.
