A large barn with about 9,500 bales of hay was destroyed by fire Monday night at
the farm of Roland Nerdrum, four miles west and a quarter mile south, in the
Town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
The Thorp Fire Department was called out at 9:05 p.m. The Stanley Fire
Department assisted with two loads of water.
