Behrendt, Annetta Marie “Netta,” (Redmann) (2 NOV 1922 - 9 DEC 2016)
Annetta Marie Behrendt “Netta,” 94, formerly of the Town of Maine, passed away
Friday, December 9, 2016, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice
Services.
Annetta was born November 2, 1922, in the Town of Wien, WI, daughter of the late
Frederick and Hazel (England) Redmann.
She received her education in Athens where she graduated from high school. She
was united in marriage to Hubert Charles Behrendt on January 24, 1942 in Athens.
Annetta and Hubert made their home in the Town of Maine where she was a
homemaker.
She enjoyed crafting, quilting, babysitting and volunteering with Hospice. She
also enjoyed the time spent wintering in Arizona. Annetta was a very active and
was member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Boot and Saddle Club, ODO Homemaker
in the Town of Maine, 4- H Leader, and the Fit and Trim Club (F.A.T.).
Annetta is survived by seven children, Carol Pizon of Fond du Lac, WI, Sheila
Garske, Wausau, Mike (Jean) Behrendt of Amherst Junction, WI, Bill (Mary)
Behrendt of Pleasanton, CA, Jeanice Habeck, Jim Behrendt and Laurie Jo (John)
Gering of Wausau, 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two brothers, Fritz
and Bobby Redmann both of Athens, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hubert on November 3, 1990,
son John, two grandsons, Timmy and Travis, two sisters, Betty and Hazel (Sis)
and three brothers, Ernie, Bud and Charles.
A Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. (Noon), Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at St.
Matthew Catholic Church, 229 S. 28th Ave, Wausau, Father Robert Thorn will
officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 4-7 p.m.
at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce, Wausau and one hour prior to services at the
church.
Memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services and or
Alzheimer's Association.
