Frane, Dennis A. (25 APR 1942 - 21 DEC 2016)

Dennis A. Frane, age 74, of Colby, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A Memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 pm - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby.

Dennis was born on April 25, 1942, the son of Alvin and Lila (Hardrath) Frane in Colby, WI. He was united in marriage to Darlene Gasch. Together they had two children; Doug and Dale. Later they were divorced. Then he met his significant other Sue Hederer.

Dennis was a milk hauler for 41 years and a cheese maker. Dennis enjoyed camping with Sue and fishing with his dog, Zoey. Dennis loved to work around the yard and watch wrestling on TV.

Dennis is survived by his significant other of 22 years, Sue Hederer of Colby; his two children: Doug (Carol) of Colby, and Dale (Cherie Rice) of Merrill; a granddaughter: Kalli Frane of Ladysmith; 2 sisters: Jeanette (Tom Kassie) Erikson, and MaryJane Erikson. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law: David Erikson.
