Mateer, Jason W. (1 FEB 1979 - 15 DEC 2016)
Jason W. Mateer, age 37, of Racine, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016,
due to an automobile accident while on the Indiana Turnpike.
Jason was born February 1, 1979, in Kenosha, the son of Nancy (Mateeer) Pecha,
Colby. He enjoyed being in the woods among nature. He loved animals and his
beloved dog. He liked writing poetry and his family.
Jason is survived by his son, Douglas, 11; his mother, Nancy Pecka; three
brothers, Pat (Margaret) Mateer of Abbotsford, Kenneth (Lori) Mateer of Abilene,
kA; and Robert (Robin) Mateer of Wisconsin Rapids; one sister, Tracy (Mancini)
Kamel of Oshkosh; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Veronica Foley; one aunt, JoAnn
Kalupa; four uncles, Eugene Foley, Laurence Foley, Jamie Foley and Bobbie Foley.
A service will be held January 6, 2017, with visitation from 9-11 a.m. with Mass
to follow at St. Louis Church in Dorchester, with Father Tim Oudenhoven
presiding.
