Pask, Elsie Anna (Leuthy) (3 APR 1921 - 21 DEC 2016)
Elsie Anna Pask, age 95, of Appleton, entered into eternal life with her family
by her side on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at Heritage Hospice.
Elsie was born in Medford on April 3, 1921, to the late Henry and Frieda (Clausnitzer)
Leuthy. She was raised on a dairy farm in Medford. After graduating high school,
Elsie moved to Chicago where she held a variety of jobs including office work at
Techny Missionairies and assembly at Bell and Howell. During WWII, she assembled
aircraft at Douglas Aircraft in Chicago, a true “Rosie the Riveter.”
She was united in marriage to Clifford Pask. The couple enjoyed many years
together until his passing in 1999. Together they raised two sons, moving to
Niles, Ill. then later to Greenville. Elsie loved doing cross-stitching,
embroidery, and being active with her loving neighbors.
She will be missed by her two sons, Jerome Pask, Greenville and Richard
(Dorothy) Pask, Hortonville; four step-grandchildren; 14
step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great grandchild; and a sister,
Emma Kasparek, Medford. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Pask; parents, Henry and
Frieda Leuthy; sisters and brother, Lydia (Clement) Kleutch, Walter Leuthy,
Clara (Fred) Emstrom; brother-in-law, Louis Kasparek; and loving older half
brothers, Frank, Paul, Emil, Herman, Otto, Friedrich, William, and Carl
Schmeiser and their spouses.
A funeral service took place at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the
Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel.
Friends and relatives could visit at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 11 a.m.
until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been
established.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Assisted Living and
ThedaCare Hospice Residence, especially the CNA’s, for their loving care of
their mother.
