Lussenden, Delores "Dee" M. (Thompson) Sixberry (10 OCT 1932 - 2 JAN 2017)
Delores "Dee" M. Lussenden, age 84, of Withee, passed away on Monday, January 2,
2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. A Memorial Service will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in
Owen. Rev. Brian Campbell will officiate.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday
at the funeral home.
Dee was born on October 10, 1932, the daughter of Peter and Marion (Burgard)
Thompson. She received her Nursing degree in Minot, ND. Dee was united in
marriage to Robert Sixberry on June 22, 1957. He preceded her in death in 1967.
She was united in marriage to Delbert Lussenden on July 3, 1970.
Dee worked as a Register Nurse for various hospitals and nursing homes, retiring
from the Clark County Health Care Center. She enjoyed camping, tending to her
flower garden, sewing, crocheting, knitting and quilting. Most importantly, she
cherished her family.
Dee is survived by her husband, Delbert of Withee; two children: Matthew (Robin)
Sixberry of Owen and Diane (Curtis) Benrud of Owen; three grandchildren: Matthew
Kaczmarek of Thorp, Michael Kaczmarek of Marshfield and Courtney Frohling of
Abbotsford; five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Gavin, Morgan, Ayden and Piper. She
is further survived by two brothers: Donald (Ronnie) Thompson of WA and Tom
(Alice) Thompson of MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Robert.
