Plamann, Robert J. Jr. (21 MAY 1945 - 3 JAN 2017)
Robert J. Plamann Jr. age 71 of the Town of Jackson died Tuesday, January 3,
2017 at his residence after a valiant 2 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born May 21, 1945 in Milwaukee to Robert and Shirley (Landfried) Plamann
and married Karen M. Warner on October 11, 1969 in Rib Lake, WI.
Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, being discharged in
1968. Following their marriage, Bob and Karen resided in West Allis until moving
to the Town of Jackson in 1986. Bob worked for Briggs & Stratton for 31 years,
retiring in 2000. He then worked for Willard Tool in Jackson for 4 years before
working for Med Speed for 6 years, retiring in 2010.
Bob enjoyed spending time at their cabin in Rib Lake where he would hunt, fish
and go 4-wheeling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his
grandson, Patrick. Bob also enjoyed taking many vacations with his family and
friends.
Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen, his son Corey Joseph of Jackson
and his grandson Patrick. He is further survived by his father Robert Joseph
Plamann Sr. of Port Washington, 2 sisters: Karen (Bob) Gantner of Port
Washington and Joanne Kannapinn of Palmetto, FL, 2 sisters-in-law: Merry Liberty
(Mike Burress) of Amhurst, WI and Joyce Warner of Baileys Harbor, WI and nieces,
nephews and other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley, his mother and father-in-law:
Duane and Helen Warner and his brother-in-law Patrick Warner.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 12 noon at Still
Waters Community United Methodist Church, 3617 Scenic Road, Jackson. The family
will greet visitors on Saturday, at the church only from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45
a.m.
