Tate, Caroline Mae (Pooler) (29 MAY 1937 - 3 JAN 2017)
Caroline Mae Tate, 79, formerly of Gilman, died on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at
Ladysmith Care and Rehab.
She was born on May 29, 1937 to the late Bryan E. and Nellie Mae (Cole) Pooler.
Caroline married Thomas Tate, Sr. on Jan. 1, 1955 in Plattsburg, Mo. The couple
lived there most of their married life where Caroline worked as a nurses aid and
was an active homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Nellie (Leo) Lebal and Thomas Tate, Jr. both of
Ladysmith, Cindy Burrier of Medford and Bobbi (Chris) Koziol of Gilman; seven
grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; three
great-granddaughters; seven sisters, Doris McFarland, Margo Emmert, Jane Oliver,
Naomi Oosting, Pamela Willoughby, Tanya Pooler and Shirley Piper; and one
brother, Bryan D. Pooler.
Caroline is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas, Sr. (2002); a
brother, Frank Pooler and sister, Jean Toot.
A private family service will be held with burial of cremains in the spring in
the Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman.
