Schmitz, Marlin R. “Coon” (? – 8 January 2017)
Marlin R. “Coon” Schmitz, 84, of Granton, passed away at Gundersen Lutheran
Medical Center in La Crosse on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at St. Anthony
Catholic Church in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate, and burial will
follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church
Satruday from 9 a.m. until time of service. The Loyal American Legion Post 175
will conduct military rites.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Craig Naedler, Eric Naedler, Bryce Wurm,
Justin Schmitz, Brandon Schmitz, and Melissa Schmitz.
