Anderson Honored by Ladies Auxiliary (2 January 2017)
Along with honoring veterans Bob Hopfer, John Oliver and Dave Meyer from
Neillsville American Legion Post 73, the Ladies Auxiliary Recognized Rosemary
Anderson January 2, 2017, for her many years as a member and dedicated
volunteer. Highlights of the meeting included a presentation by Clark County
Veteran’s Service Officer Aaron Greisen about health care, disability, and death
benefits available to veterans and an introduction of Post 73 member Al Lamovec,
who is the designated representative for the Chippewa Falls Veterans Nursing
Home. Reports were given on the Red Higgins and the Yankee Train Christmas
Concert held Dec. 10 at the Legion (with all ticket proceeds going to the Honor
Flights from Wisconsin) and the recent gun raffle, which brought in a nice
profit for the Legion. The calendar of events is rapidly filling up for January
and February. Call the Legion at 715-743-3859 if you could help in any way for a
few hours per month.
