On Saturday, December 28, 1968, Mary Elizabeth Kostner and Lawrence Bandor
exchanged wedding vows in the Church of the Jesu in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Bandor is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kostner, Thorp (Clark Co.),
Wisconsin. Mr. Bandor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Bandor, Davenport, Iowa,
formerly of Thorp.
Bridesmaids were Miss Carla Isakson, Gibbons, Minn., and Miss Karen Bandor,
sister of the groom. Miss Isakson and Mrs. Bandor were roommates at the College
of St. Catherine in St. Paul, from which Mrs. Bandor graduated December 22,
1968.
Attending the groom were Casey Sylla, Columbia, Missouri, and LeRoy Busche,
Green Bay.
Rev. James Corrigan, S.J., pastor of Jesu, celebrated the nuptial mass. Father
Edward Finn, S.J., was co-celebrant.
The bride wore a white satin wedding gown with a short lace veil and carried a
bouquet of lilies of the valley, while her attendants wore long dresses of gold
colored silk and wool, and carried bouquets of blue iris and gold carnations.
Following the wedding the bride and groom and their parents greeted friends at a
reception given at the Polster Hotel.
Mr. Bandor is a graduate of Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire, and
presently is a teacher of mathematics in the South Milwaukee school system.
After a short honeymoon, the couple will make their home in South Milwaukee.
The bride's father is Vice Chairman of Thorp Finance Corporation.
