Nerdrum, Julia (10 JAN 1886 – 27 DEC 1968)
Funeral services for Mrs. Julia Nerdrum, 82, of Stanley, were held Monday at Our
Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanley, with the Rev. Carl W. Peters officiating.
Burial was in the East Side Cemetery (Town of Thorp, Clark County).
Mrs. Nerdrum died at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, Friday. Born in Union
on January 10, 1886, she came to the town of Worden (Clark Co.) with her parents
at the age of 11.
She married Alfred Nerdrum in 1905 at Stanley, where they resided before moving
to the Thorp area, where they farmed until Mr. Nerdrum's death in 1953.
She made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Harold Matott(?), Cadott, for eight
years before moving to the nursing home in Stanley.
She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid, and the
Daughters of Norway.
Survivors are five sons, Harley A. and Ronald of Stanley; Lloyd of Withee; Rober
of Kenosha; and Alfred Jr. of Ann Arbor, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Leora)
Matott of Cadott; Mrs. Lawrence (Thelma) Thompson of Stanley; Mrs. Arnold
Beckman of Thorp, Mrs. Armond Peterson of Curtiss, and Mrs. Paul Cosby of
Indianapolis, Ind.; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
