Verner, Victor (17 DEC 1900 – 24 DEC 1968)
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 28 at St. Hedwig's
Chapel in Thorp for Victor Verner, 68, who died Tuesday at his home of an
apparent heart attack.
The Rev. Bill (??) officiated, and burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Tom Polnaszek, Edward Polnaszek, Cyril Alger, Ed Schmidt, Bill
Nolechek and Malen Teclaw.
Mr. Verner was born December 17, 1900 in Denmark, and came to the United States
in 1921 and settle in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). His marriage to Ellen Walsdorf
took place April 27, 1937 at Thorp. He was employed at the Mauel Ice Cream
Company, and with Blue Moon Foods at Thorp until 1962. At the time of his death
he was self employed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Karl, and a sister, Elna,
both of Denmark.
