Wudi, John J. “Jack” (9 JUL 1941 - 9 JAN 2017)
John J. “Jack” Wudi, 75, a Town of Greenwood resident, passed away on Monday,
Jan. 9, 2017 at his home.
Jack was born on July 9, 1941 in Medford to Bernard and Ida (Born) Wudi and they
precede him in death.
He is survived by his siblings, Sally (Ken) Asselin of St. Francis, Kathleen
(late Ron) Frahmann of Racine, Kenneth (late Vickie) Wudi of Medford and Carol
Vlasis of Schofield; eight nieces; one nephew and many friends and neighbors.
Jack graduated from Rib Lake High School. He then went on to be a lifetime
farmer and ran his own farm in the Town of Greenwood. He loved to spend time
outside cutting firewood, gardening, picking berries and taking care of his
animals, especially his dog. He enjoyed watching deer on his property. Jack will
always be remembered for lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was
of the Catholic faith, and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and Good
Shepherd Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday Jan. 13 at Good Shepherd
Catholic Church in Rib Lake with Father Otto Bucher officiating. Visitation will
be held at Good Shepherd Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass.
Cremation rites will follow services and burial of cremated remains will take
place at St. Anne’s Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Jack can be given to the St.
Anne’s Historical Society. Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake has
been entrusted with arrangements.
