Clough, Ross Conklin (29 SEP 1887 - 2 JUL 1973)
Medford - Funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon at the Hemer
funeral home for Ross Conklin Clough, 85 year old Perkinstown resident who died
Monday at Memorial hospital in Medford, where he had been a patient for one day.
Rev. Henry Bahrenburg Jr., officiated and burial took place in the Perkinstown
Community cemetery.
Mr. Clough was born September 29, 1887, in South Dakota and at age eight, moved
to the Perkinstown area with his parents, and where he received his education.
He remained in the area until 1913 when he moved to Tomahawk where he was
employed by the Tomahawk Tannery. In 1923 he moved to the state of Washington
and worked in the lumber mills until 1934 when he returned to Perkinstown. Mr.
Clough was employed by the forestry department until his retirement.
His marriage to Theresa Miller took place October 11, 1913, at Tomahawk.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Roscoe, Madison and Henry, at home; one
daughter Evelyn, Mrs. Chester Parish, Aurora, Ill., 10 grandchildren and 16
great grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
