Kind, Dannie B. "Dan" (29 NOV 1944 – 19 JAN 2017)

Dannie "Dan" Bruce Kind, of Marshfield passed away January 19, 2017 at the Three Oaks Nursing home after a long battle with Cancer. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 23, 2017 at Faith Fellowship Church (217 W McMillan St) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Monday. Pastor Larry Sheahan will officiate.

Dan was born November 29, 1944 in Fond du Lac, WI to Orlando and Alvina (Bauer) Kind and they preceded him in death.

Dan was brother to Gary Kind of Greenwood and Steve (Carol) Kind of Phillips.

Dan went to school in Greenwood, WI and graduated from Greenwood high school on 1963. After schooling he worked for Barr Minkery and then Marshfield Milling (Prince Corporation) of Marshfield, WI for 37 years as a salesman and customer service while living in Phillips, WI. After retirement he got his dream of owning is own business by purchasing the Welcome Inn, in Medford, WI with his wife Judy and ran together for 13 years. After selling the motel they made their home in Marshfield, WI.

Dan loved deer hunting, bowling and snowmobiling in his younger years and all sports especially football and basketball. Enjoyed watching all his kids and grandkids participate in sports. Would travel to where ever they had a game. He loved taking care of his yard and making it look just right. He also enjoyed family gatherings and everyone that knew him would tell you that and had a strong belief in family.

Dan was united in marriage to Judith "Judy" (Nelles) Kind on February 27, 1965 in Marshfield, WI at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed 52 years together in marriage.

In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by his 5 children. Mark (Kathy) of Rib Lake, WI. Diane (Pat) Matuszewski of Johnson Creek, WI, Ricky (Karen) and Randy (Cristina) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, David (Jenny) of Cottage Grove, WI. Eleven grandchildren Matt, Kaiti, Nicole, Ashley, Sydney, Riley, Travis, Doug, Cassidy, Ana and Lilly. Four great-grandchildren Kyanan, Elexys, Kayden and Mia.
