Ruda, Geraldine A. (30 NOV 1968)
St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp, was the setting for the marriage of Miss
Geraldine A. Ruda to Mr. David N. Ebben, on Saturday, November 30, 1968. Rev.
Francis Brockman performed the 10:00 a.m. Nuptial Mass.
Parents of the Couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruda and Mrs. and Mrs. Delton
Ebben, both of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length gown of white
velvet, featuring long tapered sleeves and a bateau neckline. A panel train
swept from the empire waist. The bouffant veil of sheer illusion was secured to
a crown of pearls centered on orange blossom petals. She carried a cascade
bouquet of white mums and red roses.
Miss Natalie Ciolkosz, Milwaukee, a friend of the bride. Was maid of honor, and
Mrs. Carol Burns, sister of the bride, and Miss Joyce Ebben, sister of the
groom, were bridesmaids. They wore floor length sheaths of bonded crepe
fashioned with empire bodices of velvet, featuring a satin bow attached from the
waistline. A blush veil falling from a rose blossom accented their gowns. They
carried cascade bouquets of white mums.
Mr. Bob Andruskiewicz was best man, and groomsmen were Mr. Lee Burns and Mr.
Fran Milligan. Ushers were Mrs. Rick Alger and Mrs. Mike Borck Jr.
Mrs. Walter Ruda, mother of the bride, attended the wedding in a powder blue
bonded sheath, and the groom's mother chose a blue and green printed sheath.
Both wore corsages of red roses and white baby mums.
A bridal breakfast was held at the Thorpedo Restaurant immediately followed the
ceremony. The reception and dance were held at the American Legion Hall.
Both the bride and groom were 1967 graduates of Thorp High School. The bride was
formerly employed by the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. in Milwaukee, and the
groom is a full time student at North Central Technical Institute at Wausau.
The new couple are now residing at 810 Humboldt, Wausau, Wis.
