Morgan, Julius D. (1 JUL 1922 – 23 DEC 1968)
Funeral services for Julius D. Morgan, 46, who died December 23, 1968, in Eau
Claire, were held December 27, 1968 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp.
Rev. Francis Brockman officiated at the ten a.m. service, with burial in the
parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were members of the American Legion and honor pallbearers of the
Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Morgan was born July 1, 1922 at Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis. He attended Thorp
High School and the University of Wisconsin for two years, was in the Army Air
Corps in World War II, serving in India and China. He was united in marriage to
Jeanette Zank at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Augusta, before returning to
Thorp in 1959, where he was employed as a salesman for Schmidt Chevrolet.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Morgan; his 90 year old father, Joseph Morgan;
ten children, all at home, Kenneth, David, Richard, Mark, Thomas, James Joan,
Carol, Janet and Jean; one brother, Leon Morgan of Thorp; one sister, Mrs. Eve
Stafford of Eau Claire. Two brothers, and his mother, Anna Slota Morgan,
preceded him in death.
