Baker, Gladys (18 OCT 1895 – 23 DEC 1968)
Mrs. Lester Baker, 73, a resident of Sharon since 1939, died December 23, 1968
in a hospital at Orlando, Florida, where she and Mr. Baker moved several months
ago to make their home.
Gladys Storey was born Oct. 18, 1895, at Stanley, to Mr. and Mrs. Matt Storey.
She was married there February 23, 1915, to Lester Baker.
Mr. Baker was a building contractor at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and after 1939
at Sharon, until his recent retirement.
Surviving are her husband, four sons, Keith and Calvin, both of Sharon; Edwin,
Ft. Meyer, Florida; Galyn, Orlando, Florida; five daughters, Mrs. Marceline
Brown and Mrs. Bernilde Techmeier, both of Delavan; Mrs. Veryl Miller and Mrs.
Betty Fredericks, both of Sharon, and Mrs. Joan Mattson, Fort Atkinson; 27
grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Chismore,
Evansville, and Mrs. Gertrude Asplin, Waupaca.
Services were held last Thursday at 2 p.m. in Sharon Methodist Church, with
burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
