Scott James Rusch, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.L. Rusch, 110 Elm Street, Thorp, on
January 16, 1969, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp. Father Michael
Mertens performed the 11 a.m. Nuptial Mass.
The organist, Sister Mary Arlene, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Robert (Colleen)

The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose an A-line gown of white bridal
satin, fashioned with an empire waist, long sleeves and rose lace running from
the waist to the bottom of the gown. Four lace roses accented her neckline. A
detachable train, edged with rose lace, fell gracefully from her shoulder. Her
elbow length veil was beaded with white velvet ribbons. She carried white
glomelias.
Serving as maid of honor was Twyla Herman of Milwaukee. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Thomas Misfeldt, Cheryl Herman, and Julieann Boardman, all of Thorp. They chose
floor length A-line gowns of blue velvet, fashioned with long sleeves edged with
lace. Inside their stand up collars lace dickies were worn with three velvet
buttons set aside. Their headpiece were made of blue rose blossoms. Each carried
a bouquet of white mums tinted blue.
Serving as best man was Mark Kolinski, proxy for David Rusch, WSU, Superior,
Wis. Groomsmen were Thomas Misfeldt, Thorp, Donald Coddington, River Falls; and
William Babbitt, in the Navy, stationed at North Fork, Virginia. The ushers were
Terry Misfeldt and Robert Elkins, St. Paul, Minnesota.
After the ceremony a reception was held in the American Legion Hall. Mrs. David
Anderson, sister of the groom, cut the wedding cake.
The bride attended St. Bernard's Catholic School, and Thorp High School, and the
groom attended Thorp Public Grade School, Thorp High School, and is presently a
