Wincek, Sophie (16 FEB 1896 – 4 JAN 1969)

Sophie Wincek, age 74, passed away Saturday, January 4, 1969 in Chicago. Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) on Wednesday, January 8, 1969. Father Connie Chilicki officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service, with burial in the parish (New St. Hedwig's) cemetery.

Sophie Wincek was born February 16, 1896 in Poland.

Pallbearers were her grandsons: Robert, Allen, John and Roger Rycerz, Arnold Burzynski and one son-in-law, Marion Burzynski.

Surviving are one son, Richard Wincek of Chicago; five daughters, (Irene) Mrs. Adolph Rycerz, Thorp, (Valerie) Mrs. Tony Jacks, Thorp, (Eleanor) Mrs. Ted Kapica, Chicago, (Lorraine) Mrs. Joe Cichon, Chicago, (Rose) Mrs. Marion Burzynski, Thorp; 31 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Joe Wincek of Thorp.
