Hopfensperger, Rose M. (Walters) (6 NOV 1935 - 18 JAN 2013)
Rose M. Hopfensperger, age 77, of W11498 Butternut Hill Road, Medford, a
Township of Grover resident, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013, at
Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center, Medford where she had resided for the past 22
months most recently under the care of Hope Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 30 at Hemer Funeral
Home, Medford, with Rev. David Clements officiating. Pallbearers are Tom, Tim,
Chad, & Jeremy Wooley, Tracy, Stan & Scott Hopfensperger. Interment will be in
the Perkinstown Community Cemetery, Township of Grover.
Visitation will be at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford from 9 AM until the time
of services at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Rose Walters was born on November 6, 1935, at Ruby, WI, to Henry and Adeline
(Burlingame)
Walters. She attended Ruby elementary school, Chippewa County.
On February13, 1960, she married Lawrence Hopfensperger at Dorchester.
They farmed in the Township of Longwood, Clark County for 38 years until
retirement in 1998. Then they resided on Spirit Lake for 2 years and in 2000
moved to their present address in Perkinstown. She enjoyed collecting Avon
bottles, fishing and camping. She was a member of the Lublin American Legion
Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence E. Hopfensperger of
Perkinstown; children, Tom (Rose) Wooley of Mellen; Tim (Mary) Wooley of Mellen;
Bonnie (Mike) Gossett of San Antonio, TX; Tracy (Melody) Hopfensperger of
Belfair, WA; Stan (Jackie) Hopfensperger of Glidden; Scott (Annie) Hopfensperger
of Killeen, TX; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Gilbert
Walters of Holcombe; Harriet (Jerry) Potaczek of Cornell.
Rose is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Adeline (Burlingame) Walters;
siblings, Adeline (Burlingame) Al & Bob Walters; Marcella Bader, Florence Clark
& Mary Nyhus.
