Larson, Leonard O. (8 JUN 1912 – 9 FEB 1969)
Leonard O. Larson, 56, of Stanley (Chippewa Co., Wis.) died Sunday at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born in the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.) on June 8, 1912. On October
18, 1939 he married Jane Huls. They farmed in the Town of Worden, then moved to
Stanley. He was employed by Lyman Lumber, O & N Lumber in Thorp, and the United
Building Center in Stanley. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and
custodian of that church for five years.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Robert, and a daughter, Patricia, both of
Milwaukee; one grandchild; five sisters, Mrs. Eugene Fischer, Milwaukee; Mrs.
Herbert Duce, Thorp; Mrs. Russell Gorsegner, Minneapolis; Mrs. Vinton Karnes,
Klamath Falls, Ore., and Mrs. Lawrence Potts, Azusa, California.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church
with the Rev. Carl W. Peters officiating. Burial was in the East Side Cemetery.
