Willner, Lorraine (12 APR 1929 – 25 JAN 2017)
Lorraine Willner, 87, of Marshfield, passed away on January 25 , 2017 at Three
Oaks North Shore nursing home, Marshfield. Lorraine was born in Chili, WI, April
12, 1929, daughter of Alvin and Helen (Moen) Anderson. On July 27, 1948, she was
united in marriage to Willie Ertl. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1974.
On September 6, 1975, Lorraine was united in marriage to Emory Willner, who
preceded her in death in 1983.
Lorraine lived most of her life in Marshfield and surrounding towns, but lived
eight years in Wisconsin Dells, returning to Marshfield in 1983. She resided at
Cedar Rail apartments for eight years, prior to the past twenty two months at
the Three Oaks center. Over the years she worked at various businesses including
Parkins Dairy, Weinbrenner Shoes, and Figis of Marshfield and Kleins and Camp
Chi of Wisconsin Dells. Lorraine also worked many years providing housekeeping
services in the Marshfield area.
Lorraine is survived by her six children: Terry Ertl of Chicago, Dennis Ertl of
Arpin, Diane (Lowell) Merwin, Debra Burris, Suzanne (David) Guden, and Randy
(Laura) Ertl of Marshfield. Lorraine has also been blessed with twelve
grandchildren who survive her: Scott (Char) Merwin, Matthew Merwin, Nicole
(Shawn) Kahut, Tanya (Joel) Rasmussen, Jennifer Granza, Amy (Corey) Olds, Jill (Josey)
Weigel, Kevin (Jesse) Burris, Lisa (Jason) Skar, Tyler, Tiffany, and Tara Guden.
She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, five step grandchildren and
five step great grandchildren. Lorraine is further survived by her brothers
Willard (Eunice) Anderson and Larry (Carol) Anderson of Marshfield and Duane
(Marie) Anderson of Spencer.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 28, 2017 at
Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm
Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Church and again from 10:00 am until time of the
service on Saturday. A luncheon will be provided at the church following the
service. Lorraine will be buried next to her husband Willie at Hillside
Cemetery, Marshfield.
Lorraine's family wishes to express a special thank you to the Three Oaks and
hospice care staffs for all the love and care that they extended to her during
her residency at the facility. Also, Lorraine would have wanted to acknowledge
her appreciation of the close friendships she cherished at Cedar Rail.
