Schnabel, Dale A. (6 DEC 1949 – 24 JAN 2017)

Dale A. Schnabel, 68, Spencer, passed away early Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at N8357 Fair Haven Ave., in Spencer. A celebration of life will be held from 1-3 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 10, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 201 S. Lasalle St., in Spencer. Burial will take place at a later date at the Neillsville Cemetery.
Dale was born on Dec. 6, 1949, the son of Clarence and Ella (nee Krause) Schnabel. He graduated from Loyal High School. After high school, Dale was employed by Stichert Roofing in Chili. He was with his partner in Spencer, Arlene Rizzi, for many years until her death. In his spare time he enjoyed going out to eat and visiting with people/friends in the community, working on his vehicles, and spending time with his animals. Those who knew Dale best will miss his sense of humor.

Dale is lovingly survived by his nieces and nephews: Cheryl (Mike) Kitzhaber of Greenwood, Lori (Schnabel) Larson of Greenwood, Cheri (Schnabel) Jacobson of Spring Green, Dawn (Rick) Suda of Greenwood, Jeffrey (Diane) Schnabel of Eau Claire, and Shane (Cindy) Rasmussen of Greenwood; his sister-in-law, Mary (Roy) Rasmussen of Greenwood; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and by Arlene’s son, Ron Rizzi, a close friend and neighbor. He will truly be missed.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ella Schnabel, and one sibling, Wayne Schnabel.
