Schuette, Delbert W. (25 JAN 1935 - 26 JAN 2017)
Delbert W. Schuette, 82, of Unity, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January
26, 2017.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church in the Town of Green Grove. Rev. Donald Bruce will
officiate. Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery, Town of Beaver.
Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 29
at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00 a.m. until
time of service Monday at the church.
Delbert was born on January 25, 1935 to Walter and Lilly (Raeck) Schuette at the
home farm in the Town of Beaver. He attended Oak Grove School and graduated from
Loyal High School.
Delbert was united in marriage to LaVonne Molle on October 6, 1956 at St. Luke's
Lutheran Church, South Green Grove.
Delbert farmed and owned the family farm until his retirement in 2004 but
continued to reside at the farm. The farm was a century farm in 2009 and he was
proud to have earned many quality milk awards. Delbert was a member at St.
Paul's Lutheran Church, north Green Grove. He held the chairman position for
many years. He was also the sexton of St. Luke's Cemetery since 1994.
Delbert enjoyed playing cards and fishing with friends. He was also fond of
pets, especially his farm dogs. Delbert loved going to vintage snow mobile and
tractor shows.
Delbert is survived by his wife of 60 years, LaVonne; six children: Bonita
(James) M. Weix of Abbotsford, Jeffery (Nancy) Schuette of Marshfield, Karlene
(John) Pernsteiner of Menomonie, Darryl Schuette of Loyal, Mark (Janice)
Schuette of Peidmont, MO and Amy Sue (Tom) Ruppert of Owen; seven grandchildren:
Logan, Kaylene, Kenneth, Ceirra, Kesler, Tawny and Emmy; three
great-grandchildren: Wesson, Rhiley and Brynlee; six step-grandchildren: Keri,
Kim, Kris, Shane, Holly and Tammy; and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by his sister, Dorothy Smith of Marshfield; a
sister-in-law, Diana Schuette and a brother-in-law, Jerry Uhlig; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl and Eldred Schuette
and four sisters: Elpha Zarnstorff, Blanche Zimmerman, Irene Olson and Constance
Uhlig.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the cardiac unit at St. Joseph's
Hospital in Marshfield.
