Weisenberger, Rozell J. “Rosie” (Grosskrautz) (16 JUN 1926 - 28 JAN 2017)
Rozell J. “Rosie” Weisenberger Age 90, of Fenwood, passed away on Saturday,
January 28, 2017 at Stone Crest Assisted Living in Wausau under the care of
Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.
Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 3, 2017 at St.
Stephen Lutheran Church (ELCA) in Edgar with Pastor Gail Sowell officiating.
Burial will follow in Fenwood Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 9AM until the time of service on Friday
at the church in Edgar.
The honor of pallbearer belongs to D.J. Weisenberger, Jimmy Weisenberger, Shawn
Weisenberger, Codee Luedtke, Lucas Luedtke and Roger Branson.
Rozell was born on June 16, 1926 in Fenwood, the daughter of the late Henry and
Ronetta (Pries) Grosskrautz. On March 14, 1942, she was united in marriage to
Arnold Weisenberger. Sadly, he passed away in 1973. Rozell was a member of St.
Stephen Lutheran Church in Edgar.
Her employment included working at a basket factory in Edgar later retiring from
Marathon Cheese Corporation after 36 years of employment. She enjoyed making
afghans for her family and helped make quilts at church for those in need.
Survivors include her two sons David (Donna) Weisenberger of Marathon and Dennis
(Sharon) Weisenberger of Edgar; her brother Leroy (Bernice) Grosskrautz of
Wausau; her sister Phyllis (Les) Baumer of Wausau and her two sisters-in-law
Diane Grosskrautz of Colorado and Angie Ralston of Minnesota and her Aunt Luella
Grosskrautz of Wausau. She is further survived by four grandchildren; seven
great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Rozell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her two brothers Henry
“Hank” Grosskrautz Jr. and Ronnie Grosskrautz; her two sisters Myrtle “Merts”
Nowak and Geraldine “Jerri” Dorfschmidt and her two brothers-in-law Eddie
Dorfschmidt and Edward Nowak.
Arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
