On Feb 15, 1969 Allen A. Benzschawel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Benzschawel, received his commission as Second Lieutenant in the United States Infantry.

He graduated with a class of 124 from the Officers Candidate School, Fort Benning, Georgia, where he has been attending school for the last six months. Lt. Benzschawel is now stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, where he is a training officer for a Basic Training Unit. His primary responsibility is the welfare and training of the new personnel inducted in service.
