Lehman, Rose M. (Romang) (2 DEC 1919 - 18 MAR 2013)

Rose M. Lehman, 93 of 955 E. Allman Street, City of Medford, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Care Partners Assisted Living, Medford where she had resided for the past 8 months, while being surrounded by her loving family and Hope Hospice.

Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey, with Rev. Randal Jeppesen officiating. Cremainal Interment will take place at a later date in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery Milan.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 P.M. until the time of services at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 26 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey.

Rose was born on December 2, 1919, in the Town of Bern, Athens, Wisconsin, to Gottfried and : Johanna (Staeheli) Romang. She attended Athens Public Schools.

On July 24, 1937, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens, she was married to Edmund G. Lehman. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1996.

Rose was the youngest child of Gottfried and Johanna Romang. Rose and Ed lived and dairy farmed, and retired in the Athen’s area until Ed’s death. In 1996 Rose moved to Medford. Enjoyed baking, crafts, quilting, flower gardening, trips with the ladies aid, and fishing. Rose enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. They were often treated to molasses cookies and kuchen.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey, and a past member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan, Bethlehem Ladies Aid, and was a Sunday school teacher.

Rose is survived by her children, Shirley (Floyd) Rodman of Medford, Gary (Mary Lou) Lehman of Edgar and Diann (Ron) Apfelbeck of Medford; Daughter-In-Law: Kitty Lehman of Edgar; 13 Grandchildren; 38 Great-Grandchildren; 12 Great-Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Great-Grandchild.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Lorraine Romang of Marathon; and by Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Many Friends.

Rose is predeceased by her husband, Edmund G. Lehman, June 30, 1996, her parents Gottfried and Johanna (Staeheli) Romang; son, Edward G. Lehman on April 16, 2011; siblings Robert, Edward, and Gottfried Romang; also a brother Robert Romang in infancy; Hanna Wagner, and Julia Neuenschwander.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Rose’s name to Hope Hospice, Trinity Lutheran Church, Whittlesey or to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan.
