On Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. R. Smigaj were pleasantly surprised by a phone
call from Mrs. R. Smigaj's sister, Mrs. Virgil Phillips, of Houston, Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jemell of Dearborn, Michigan are spending a week at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wyczawski. Also they were supper guests Monday at the Val
Wyczawski home.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jacque were on a vacation the past week in Maryland,
visiting their son-in-law and daughter, Mrs. and Mrs. Chuck Trahan and family at
Bowie, and also stopped. Enroute at the Donald Jacque home at Milwaukee.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Konieczny, Mrs. Josie Burzynski and Mitch, Mr. Frank Bonczyk,
Mr. and Mrs. George Burzynski Jr. and Ginger, Mr. Joe Burzynski, and Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Schmidt were dinner and supper guests at the Malin Konieczny home
on Sunday, April 18th, in honor of Ronald's First Communion.
Mrs. George Burzynski, daughter Gail and Ginger, spend the weekend at Beloit at
the Roger Beier home. On Saturday evening they all visited the John Mizerka home
at Beloit.
Mrs. Peter Burzynski is a patient at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, where
she had major surgery last week and is doing fair at this writing.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hodorowski and Bonnie visited with Mrs. Peter Burzynski at
Sacred Heart Hospital on Sunday.
Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital by Thorp ambulance
after a bad fall last week on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Skalecki, Gail, David and Amy of Wheeling, Illinois were
supper guests Saturday at the Frank Ciolkosz home.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ciolkosz spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Soborowicz.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Staron visited at the Frank Ciolkosz home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Ortleib of Dorchester and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jaeger of
Chicago were luncheon guests of Mrs. Harry Meske on Wednesday.
Pvt. John J. Meske, son of Mrs. Helen Meske, recently completed his basic
training at Fort Campbell, Ky., and is now stationed in advanced training at
Fort Polk, La.
Miss Barbara Meske, who attends vocation technical school at Eau Claire, spent
the weekend at her parental home.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hastreiter and family of Woodruff, Wis.. spent the weekend
in Thorp visiting relatives, Mrs. Mary Soderberg, Mrs. Helen Meske and at the
Pat and Eileen Soderberg home.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Boardman attended the parents weekend banquet at Eau
Claire State University, at which their son Richard was master of ceremonies.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Graham of Holman and Mrs. Jeff Frazer and Mr. Bud Cook were
visitors at the Edmund Cool resident this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mead and Mrs. Mabel Misfeldt spent Tuesday evening in
Neillsville, the latter visited Mrs. Paul Pryczyna, who is a patient in the
hospital there.
