Geiger, Dennis H. "Denny" (4 FEB 1955 – 4 FEB 2017)
Dennis "Denny" H. Geiger, age 62, of rural Colby, died on Saturday, February 4,
2017 as the result of a snowmobile accident.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017
starting at 1 pm. Food available until 5 pm; social gathering to follow at the
Dorchester Memorial Hall. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is
entrusted with the arrangements.
Denny was born on February 4, 1955, the son of Bernard and Elizabeth (Pollack)
Geiger in Marshfield. He farmed in the Town of Hull most of his life. Denny also
worked at the feed mill, rationing the feed. He was a jack-of-all trades,
including custom work on just about anything. Denny enjoyed camping, working on
tractors and participating in tractor pulls.
Denny is survived by his significant other, Teresa Karl; five children: Matthew
(Kris) Geiger of Athens, Stacy (Jason) Brusky of Dorchester, Randy Geiger
(Alisha Kingsbury) of Colby, Jeremy (Wendy) Geiger of Stetsonville and Theresa
Geiger (Clint Penney) of Curtiss; 17 grandchildren. Significant other's children
and grandchildren: Jill (Andy Anderson) Ellis of Stratford, Nicole (Dustin
Pieper) Ellis of Chili and MacGyver (Lindsey Wussow) Ellis of Stratford; nine
grandchildren. He is further survived by six brothers and sisters: Jerry Geiger
of Dorchester, Shirley (Allen) Baehr of Sun Prairie, Jean (Ken) Bores of
Spencer, Bob (Jane) Geiger of Abbotsford, Ron (Barb) Geiger of Atwood and Elaine
(Gary) Blasel of Dorchester; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers-in-law, Art and Les
Timm.
